The training forms of CHI-BONG are called “BAI” (and not “Quyen” which is the term used for VO-VIET forms). Among many beautiful and highly effective forms there are five BAIs:
BAI BONG 1 – SOC-SON
Technical and physical training form
BAI BONG 2 – TUE-TINH
Meditation, happiness, and meridian flow training form
BAI BONG 3 – DAO-HANH
Intervention, self-defence training form
BAI BONG 4 – HAI-THUONG
Breathing, inner energy and self-healing training form
BAI BONG 5 – THIEN-VUONG
Combat, mutation, illusion, strategy training form
CHI-BONG is the transformation of the old Vietnamese art of the Stick (Bong) into the new Art of the Noble Stick (Chi-Bong) by redefining the objectives, refining the techniques, structuring the building blocks, adding new methods, establishing teaching methods and research programs, etc,. Three instructional forms (bai thao) have been created to carry a new way of learning Chi-Bong (SOC-SON, THAN-TRUC, YET-BONG) along with a series of exercises in the group of techniques HICH-HA.
CHI-BONG, created by Grand Master Phan Hoang, aims in helping learners to improve health, personal growth, positive thinking, beyond the mere techniques of defense and attack.
After many years of testing, in 2003 for the first time a special training session “Stage” for black-belts and teachers has been conducted in Warsaw, Poland. Since then training session of Chi-Bong is often on the programs of International Stages with Grand-Master. Recently, at the Stage Cestas (Bordeaux, France), 2016, the series of techniques Hich-Ha has been on the program of his teaching and training.
